The TMG group joined the CEiiA (a technological centre that designs, develops and operates new products and services for technologically advanced industries) and the Simoldes group to create BEN4US, a consortium focused on creating a new mobility service: a light vehicle thought out to be shared.
Oriented towards communities and corporate environments, the project is under development (it will have its own platform), and is part of BENeutral– a broad agenda of business innovation within the scope of the Recovery and Resilience Plan.
This agenda aims to accelerate the development and industrialization of a new generation of mobility products from Portugal, such as zero carbon buses, the 6E microcar, a modular two-wheeled vehicle, connected with data and connectivity platforms and new energy systems, in addition to the BEN4US project.
These are high technological innovative solutions, projected by the sector’s leading players, “aiming to answer to a market that is growing exponentially, given the carbon emission reduction targets, and the changes in the consumers’ preferences”, says IAPMEI, which supports the project.
“The partnership now formalized will contribute to changing the specialization profile of the Portuguese economy, increasing its exports of goods and services, and, simultaneously, increasing the country’s investment in research and development”, says a note published by TMG on the company’s Linkedin.
