MANGO SUPPORTED ON PORTUGUESE TEXTILE PRODUCTION

67 Portuguese companies supply the Spanish giant Mango. The list includes made-in-Portugal heavyweights such as TMG Textiles, Endutex, Louropel, JF Almeida, Fitexar, Filasa, Gulbena, Trimalhas, Vilartex, Mundifios, Somelos, António Salgado, Otojal and Polopique.

A list that confirms the growing weight of Portuguese production in the fashion giant’s offer while reinforcing the increasingly central role of our ITV as a nearshoring possibility in the textile sector.

Since 2021, a consequence of the growing proximity policy to production, Mango has been strengthening its supply chain in Portugal. From 19 manufacturers in our country in 2019 grew to the 67 that the brand now mentions.

Disclosure of suppliers is part of the brand’s commitment to transparency and sustainability. Mango has started releasing the list of factories in its global supply chain, an initiative announced as being the first for larger companies in the fashion sector.

Altogether, Mango accounts for 2,400 factories in the World, around 50% of which are in proximity markets.
