TMG Automotive will represent Portugal in the Industrial Excellence Award Europe 2021, an award that recognizes industrial excellence and management quality in European companies. The selection of TMG to represent Portugal was made by COTEC, AESE Business School and IESE Business School, who took into account the processes, skills and strategies of the company, which is part of the Têxtil Manuel Gonçalves group.
Dedicated to the research, development and production of technical fabrics for car interiors, TMG Automotive supplies the biggest car manufacturers, such as BMW, Daimler, Toyota and Volvo. In the final stage of the competition, which takes place on January 27, in Barcelona, during the Industrial Excellence Conference, TMG will compete against representatives from Italy and Germany.
The textile company led by Isabel Furtado (photo) also stands out as a leader in innovation, concentrating more than 6% of revenues and 10% of its employees on the development of new materials. “With high technical performance and sustainability, it has developed a unique product portfolio, allowing for differentiation in a sector that would otherwise be driven mainly by cost”, highlights COTEC in the statement.
