RDD PREMIERS UNDYED COTTON IN PARIS, MILAN AND MUNICH

It’s a new eco-friendly line that enables to save ten litres of water for each kilo of knit produced. Undyed Cotton is one of the bets for the spring/summer season of RDD, a subsidiary of the Valérius group, and it was revealed in the main international stages: Milano Única, Munich Fabric Start and Première Vision Paris.

“An estimated 8.000 chemical products are used in making clothes, and between seventeen and twenty percent of the industrial water pollution is a result of dyeing or other textile finishing”, discloses Elsa Parente (picture), the CEO of the Valérius group.

To fight this issue, RDD – Research, Design, Development – is focused on introducing less harmful alternatives into the market. The most recent innovation is Undyed Cotton, a line of non-processed cotton. “More than a line that avoids waste, it embodies authenticity, expressed through a minimalist and timeless aesthetic”, explains Elsa Parente, highlighting the fashion statement behind the innovative product.
