PORTAL FROM CASA DA MALHA IS SUSTAINABLE AND DIGITAL

Presented in the latest editions of Première Vision and Milano Unica, Portal is the new spring-summer 24 collection from Casa da Malha, and sustainability and digitalization are the focus. The Portal has several sub-categories, explained Mariana Moreira, Communications technician at Casa da Malha, to T Jornal.

The collection focus on the importance of digital growth and was “created to show that the world, as we see it, can also be a place where imagination exists, and the known meets the unknown”, explains Cláudia Costa, Responsible for the Design and Development of Casa da Malha.

However, without forgetting the sustainability pillar because “when choosing raw materials, we always consider the environmental impact”, adds. Organic, recycled raw materials and other types of yarn whose obtaining and production process is more conscious were part of this PORTAL.

The APPEAL portal reflects a “connection between the physical and virtual worlds” and presents more irreverent, fun, and colorful knits, namely jacquards, stripes, costumes, and textured knits. The CARE portal concerns “networks that prioritize self-care and encourage reflection on actions that directly or indirectly affect the world we live in”, explains Cláudia Costa. It includes knits with functional finishes, knits knitted with new yarns, such as “100% hemp and other mixtures, such as crabyon viscose and fibers from pineapple and banana waste”, exemplifies the Responsible for Design and Development. Finally, ESSENTIALS is composed of basic and timeless knits.

With each collection, Casa da Malha intends to develop new products according to trends, market innovations, and customer demand and feedback. This new collection (video) presents “variety in terms of structures and fibers used happens, enhancing transversality at the level of stations, as well as the most diverse markets”, concludes Mariana Moreira.
