MODTISSIMO 60+2 IS CLOSE TO THE RECORD OF THE PREVIOUS EDITION

MODTISSIMO 60+2 is fast approaching for an edition that will celebrate the theme ‘Visual’ and mark the reunion of the national textile sector a few days before the beginning of autumn – and the organization hopes that the record number of exhibitors from the previous edition will be equaled and possibly surpassed: in ten days of entries, the barrier of 100 has been already reached.

The new edition will again be at Exponor on the 13th and 14th of September, and expectations are high, as the February edition raised the bar to an unprecedented level. MODTISSIMO 60+1 is a ‘case study’ worth returning to understand all the expectations surrounding the September edition.

Thus, according to the organizing entity, Associação Selectiva Moda (ASM), 4,854 national buyers and 504 foreigners (15.5%) passed through the more than seven thousand m2 of the February event. The number of exhibitors has evolved positively since October 2021 (which marked the return of face-to-face exhibitions) to reach a maximum of in the last edition: above 200. Of these, most were fabrics and accessories (47.4% of the total), manufacturers (29.8%), services (19.1%), and agents (3.7%).

As for buyers (Portuguese), representatives of clothing companies (37.7% of the total), agents (10.2%), and designers (6.8%) were present. On the side of foreign buyers, Spain is traditionally the most represented country – with 37.9% of the total 504 foreigners coming from the neighboring country. Germany (15.5%) and the Netherlands (9.8%) completed the Top3, followed by France (9.8%), Austria (8.3%), and the United Kingdom (7.2%).

The exhibitor registration process remains open and can be accessed here. And, the buyer registration is already available too (here).
