The most relevant Portuguese fair in the textile sector, MODTISSIMO already has a date set for its 60+2 edition: it will take place on the 13th and 14th of September this year and, once again, will take place at Exponor. The organization – Associação Selectiva Moda – reveals that registration for exhibitors will be available soon and hopes that the fair will be another moment of celebration of a sector that has already established itself at an international level.
MODTISSIMO is the largest fair in the Portuguese textile sector and the oldest in the Iberian Peninsula. Held twice a year – in February and September – it brings together the sector, from yarn producers to clothing manufacturers. It is a showcase for one of the largest textile clusters in Europe. Thousands of visitors usually pass through its corridors.
In fact, given the weight of the unavoidable numbers of the edition that took place in February, expectations remain high. In the 60+1 edition, the total number of visitors stood at 5,163, which compares with 4,854 in the 60th edition (a growth of 6.4%) – almost double the growth of the 60th edition compared to the 59th edition (3.7% compared to 4,679 visitors). As for foreign buyers, there were 504 at MODTISSIMO 60+1 (3.9% more than the 485 at the 60th edition, which had already grown by 2.1% compared to the 475 at the 59th edition).
