INTERNATIONALIZATION ATTRACTS NEW COMPANIES TO MODTISSIMO

With great anticipation, the Portuguese textile sector awaits the 60+1 edition of Modtissimo, which returns to pavilion 5 of Exponor on the 15th and 16th of February. Practically sold out, the increasingly international character of the event has attracted new companies, like Dehora, Louropel (buttons), Realfio (sewing, embroidery, and footwear threads), Ridi (zippers), and Wtex (technical solutions).

There are also repeat presences such as GIVEC, which has been “a regular presence for 20 years”, says Cândido Correia, COO. The company has regular customers at the event, especially from the Spanish market. “MODTISSIMO is increasingly international, there have been impressive editions, with good contacts, the organization is on the right path”, praises Cândido Correia.

In this edition, GIVEC will present its spring-summer ready-to-wear collection, where pastel tones and fluid fabrics stand out, also highlighting the latest autumn-winter creations for its Get in Vibe brand. The sustainable aspect will be highlighted, with a preference for cotton.

Also, the brand for children Dr. Kid, who has been present at the event for over 18 years, will once again present himself “with an autumn-winter collection that follows fashion trends and presents product improvements”, reveals José Armindo Ferraz.

The CEO from Inarbel states that “demand from foreign markets has been great” and that this 60+1 edition “will be a surprise”. “Associação Selectiva Moda has done an excellent job attracting international visitors. MODTISSIMO is exposed to an increasing number of foreign buyers”.

Registration for buyers opened this week. Registration is intended only for professionals in the sector who can register here.
