TMG AUTOMOTIVE INTEGRATES THE CARBON NEUTRAL AUTOMOBILE PROJECT

TMG Automotive is part of Project Polestar 0 by the Swedish company Polestar, which aims to produce a carbon-neutral car by 2030, including the entire value chain in the automotive industry involved in production. The role of TMG Automotive is to apply its decades of experience in innovative surface materials to this initiative, involving the collaboration of several employees who together develop “a new and disruptive concept of mobility”.

To create a climate-neutral car by 2030, as well as eliminate carbon emissions by changing its construction, Polestar 0 encompasses the collaboration of all partners – Autoneum, Schlötter, Vitesco Technologies, Stora Enso, TMG Automotive, Gränges, Borgstena, and Stena Aluminum – throughout the entire development process and value chain.

In a statement, the Swedish company Polestar underlines the “reboot of car manufacturing”. Although they still do not have all the answers, it allows them to know what is not working to achieve “a greener version of car production” to make “a car that starts and ends with zero”.

“We are proud to announce this partnership with Polestar and embrace the challenge for carbon neutrality across all car production. We know today is the right time to act”, reveals Isabel Furtado, CEO of TMG Automotive, in a statement.
