PORTUGUESE HOME TEX’STYLE IN HEIMTEXTIL TRENDS

The Portuguese Home Tex’Style forum, organized by Associação Selectiva Moda and curated by Dolores Gouveia, is featured in a Heimtextil brochure published after the June edition of the home textile fair and which appears as a launch of SS23 trends. With product images from the From Portugal forum, the publication also highlights Têxteis Penedo, Lasa Home, and Colmaco.

“With the current problems in supply chains, exhibitors focused on valuing local production. The Portuguese Home Tex’Style stand shows different local producers who design and produce in-house, making Portugal a great country” for discovering new items for the home, reads the brochure.

With references in different areas of publication, Têxteis Penedo also won over Heimtextil and its visitors with its new material. Cork-a-Tex, developed together with Sedacor, consists of fiber with cotton and cork residues. “It is a breathable, hypoallergenic, warm, and super soft material, a sustainable alternative in bedding”, explains the organization. The items from the Guimarães company are also in the textured surfaces and textiles with a faded effect category.

Along with bath towels with decorative edges, Lasa appears associated with natural dyes: “brands such as Indo Count and Lasa Home highlight cotton sets with almond and beet shells”.

Also mentioned by the worked edges but not only, Colmaco is also among the Portuguese companies highlighted by the event. Still, in the aftermath of the fair, Heimtextil highlights one of the company’s jacquards: “for a utilitarian look, staggered repetitions are what works best, as Colmaco shows in this gray jacquard with charcoal accents”.
