MO has just reinforced its internationalization strategy by signing an agreement with the Family Cash hypermarket chain. “Through a category management regime, the Portuguese fashion brand will manage the fashion area at Family Cash in Zaragoza, in an agreement that establishes the opening of several sales points by the end of 2021”.
In a statement, the Sonae Fashion brand said that “the new agreement is part of the MO’s internationalization strategy, strengthening its presence in Spain, where the brand already manages the fashion area of more than 40 hypermarkets of the Eroski, Gadis and now Family Cash chains”.
The management model foresees the administration of fashion sales spaces in a ‘turnkey’ regime: space study, look definition and supply of the collection in accordance with the guidelines defined by MO. The new sale point in Zaragoza covers the entire collection of the Portuguese brand, which includes clothing, home textiles, footwear and accessories.
MO’s strategy is to strengthen its distribution network in Europe, seeking opportunities in markets where it already operates (Spain and Italy), but also in new markets geographically close to Portugal, such as France, Belgium, Switzerland, and Austria.
