Sonae Fashion, a sub-holding of the Sonae group for the fashion world, ended 2019 with a sales total of 395 million euro, a 4.9% increase in homologous terms. “It should be highlighted the performance of online operations, which keeps showing a strong increase for all brands, growing an overall 32%”, the group writes in a statement sent to CMVM.
The underlying EBITDA also follows the positive trend, improving 5.8 million euro in homologous terms, reaching 41.4 million at the end of 2019, with a 10.5% margin, a 1% increase when compared to 2018.
The fourth trimester has come out as essential for a positive end of the year. All the brands have registered positive evolution in the comparable store universe, increasing above market references.
The business volume in the fourth trimester reached 114 million euro, growing 7.3% in homologous terms, with a LfL (like for like, i.e., adjustments made for proper comparison) of more than 4.6%, “sustained by solid improvements in the value proposals and operational models”, states the group. This performance was particularly positive considering the strong evolution of the LfL registered during the analysis period (7.2% more).
