IMPETUS SUPPORTS HUGO BOSS WITH THE POLO DISTINGUISHED BY ISPO

A Hugo Boss polo shirt manufactured by the Portuguese company Impetus uses an innovative yarn from the Austrian factory of HeiQ AeoniQ™, awarded with the ISPO AWARD 2023. This is another step in the international brand’s commitment to reduce the long-term environmental impact of its products.

The seamless polo was born from a collaboration between Hugo Boss and the Swiss HeiQ and is as disruptive as its cellulosic fibers. Made with 87% HeiQ AeoniQ™, a revolutionary cellulosic yarn derived from certified wood pulp, it has performance attributes that rival polyester fabrics. The use of this material helps to protect the oceans from microfiber smoke generated by synthetic fibers.

HeiQ AeoniQ™ is the first sustainable, circular, closed-loop cellulose yarn with traditional strength and abrasion resistance rivaling conventional materials such as polyester and nylon. According to the brand, it is highly breathable, biodegradable in 12 weeks at the end of its life cycle, offers excellent abrasion resistance, and has natural odor control properties.

“We are pleased to see that ISPO recognizes our efforts to evolve and lead,” said Daniel Grieder, CEO of Hugo Boss, in a statement.
