FROM PORTUGAL AT ISPO WITH MASSIVE DOSES OF INNOVATION

The From Portugal committee that is on its way to ISPO Munich, taking place between the 28th and 30th of November, will fill the Bavarian capital with innovation, creativity, and sustainability in massive doses, leaving a clear sample of the enormous potential of the textile industry and the Portuguese clothing. The news is many, and so are the expectations.

Intending to expand its business, Bloomati takes “meshes developed with organic, recycled materials, cellulosic fibers and sustainable finishes”. New mesh structures will be on display “finishes with water repellency, antibacterial, anti-odor, protection against UVA/UVB rays, insect repellent, treatments with aloe vera”.

Color For Tex presents the ‘TeamWear’ collection, which includes the award-winning Zero Water items based on cotton and offers a water saving of 150 liters per kilo. TMG/MGL premiers a capsule collection with 80% knits and 20% fabrics.

TMR Fashion Clothing brings solutions that mix technical textiles with a fashion component. Trivialtex, on the other hand, takes recycled high-elasticity polyester threads to recycled polyamides 6 and 66 (all with GRS certification) and is biodegradable.

Vale & Vilas Textiles (former Ditchil) will present products with recycled and organic fibers. Making its debut in these wanderings is Trifitrofa with cotton threads and finished blends. 2 Move Garments takes technology to change the color of the sock symbol in the presence of sunlight.

Filasa will present products in high-resistance yarns, temperature regulation, humidity management, and antibacterials. Beppi will have its sportier line and another sporty casual line with a lifestyle touch, and Smart Innovation will present sustainable functional finishes of high durability and efficiency. Oldtrading will also be there with state-of-the-art technology.

FORteams LAB focuses its offer mainly on sustainability and will present circular economy initiatives, namely the LOOP project. A. Fiuza bets on natural fibers and dyes. Eco/sustainable quality pieces will be on the shelves at OLMAC. Lunartex will take several stamping techniques, silicone applications, and cord tips.

Fradelsport shows the big news, a padel collection. Dune Bleue’s goal is to reinforce its network of contacts. JF Almeida will present performance, sustainable and circular towels. Impetus will take the seamless “double jersey” technology with sustainable and functional fibers and finishes.

The participation of Portuguese SME companies in ISPO is an initiative of Selectiva Moda and ATP – Associação Têxtil e Vestuário de Portugal, which aims to promote the internationalization of Portuguese companies in the field of Fashion. The “From Portugal” project is co-funded by Portugal 2020, within the scope of Compete 2020 – Operational Program for Competitiveness and Internationalization and Lisbon 2020 – Regional Operational Program of Lisbon, with an eligible amount of support of €6,648,794.78 , of which €3,735,305.80 come from the European Union, through the European Regional Development Fund.
