Sonix: 2020 will be the year for consolidation

2020 is going to be the year of consolidation for the knitwear company Sonix, after having reached, in 2018, the record-breaking turnover of 28.6 million euro, almost entirely attained from exports.

“At Sonix, we have had a sustained growth through time”, relays the COO and administrator Samuel Costa. “We closed 2018 with a historic business volume of 28.6 million euro. For 2019, we expect a decrease, and 2020 will be a year for consolidation”.

Founded in 1966, the company from Barcelos was acquired in 2007 by DiasTêxtil, led by Conceição Dias, becoming a part of a vertical group alongside other companies like Modelmalhas, Startex, Sewstyle and Sucess Gadget – a technological R&D company that has helped the group rise in the value chain, directing the production towards technical items.
