RIOPELE STRENGTHENS IN DIGITAL AND LAUNCHES METAVERSE COLLECTION

Riopele bets in the digital transition and presented on June 29th at the QSP Summit, the first collection in the metaverse. The textile giant renews the ambition to be a leading company on a European scale with technological solutions that allow “suppliers, suppliers and customers to experience fabrics in the digital world”.

Rui Oliveira, director of information systems at Riopele, notes that “this project fits sample digitalization projects and virtual product prototyping, which makes available the company tools. By so, the customers can analyze collections, verify functionalities and the visual effect of fabrics in digital pieces with high realism”.

“Within the scope of this project, Riopele will help its customers in this digital transition”, since “companies that had internal projects of non-digital execution will be able to process Riopele’s technology to enter this new digital era”. The director of information systems states that Riopele’s conviction “is that physical and digital are not exclusive, but complementary”.

Riopele started an approach to the metaverse five years ago. “Although the term gained popularity recently, as underlying technologies, they have been around for a long time. For example, since 2018, through the metaverse, the real-time control and monitoring of production in one of our factories”, recalls Rui Oliveira.
