Ownever, a Portuguese luxury bags brand, teamed up with artisan Fernando Rei to create a unique bag that combines the quality of leather with traditional Portuguese weaving under the motto “having and taking care of something forever”.
The Gunta model is entirely handmade and has a pattern inspired by the work of Gunta Stölzl, one of the great promoters of the art of weaving at the school of Bauhaus. “We cannot let our traditions, our craftsmanship die, because it is an art that tells a genuine story”, comments Eliana Barros, founder of Ownever, based in the city of Braga.
The wallet is already available in the online store and emphasizes the idea that the timelessness path of a piece is made through uniqueness.
Since its creation last year, Ownever has assumed the mission of bringing to the national market collections of timeless bags, indifferent to trends but produced with quality materials and respecting traditions.
Eliana Barros, the founder and designer of the brand, created the first collection inspired by the French lifestyle and country icons. Now, Eliana has chosen the Portuguese tradition to continue the project. The objective, or one of them, remains: that the bags last a long time in the hands of the customers – therefore, the brand offers the possibility of lifetime maintenance.
