BUSINESS AND MANY CONTACTS AT PERFORMANCE DAYS

The first morning was remarkable for the dozen Portuguese exhibitors to be present at yet another edition of Performance Days, which takes place this Wednesday and Thursday in Munich, Germany. The renowned functional fabrics fair opened with a lot of activity, with dozens of buyers visiting the stands of the From Portugal committee.

The saying goes “there are no two without three”, and 2MoveGarments is at Performance Days for the third time. “Previous editions went very well, and this morning makes us believe that this time will be no different”, says Joaquim Anjos, commercial director, which has already received Dutch, Austrian, and Spanish buyers.

Among the many novelties presented at the 2MoveGarments stand, Joaquim Anjos highlights “the fabrics with functional finishes, namely an antibacterial product developed by Smart Innovation”, and the entire range of articles for running and yoga.

This year, LMA had its stand a little further away from the central area, which, explains Luís Sousa Dias, commercial director, “made customers come to us a little later, but in great force”. “We already had the agenda with several appointments, and no one was missing. We also had other good contacts: Germans, Swedes, Spaniards, and two Italian brands”, reveals the commercial director of LMA, who shows in Germany a new line of light fabrics weighing around 40 grams with applicability in windbreaker type coats or feather coats.

A. Sampaio, Bloomati by Carvema, Lurdes Sampaio, and Sidónios are the other companies from the From Portugal committee to be present at the functional fabrics fair in Munich, where Portugal already assumes a prominent place both for the sustainability of the products presented and for the quality of the commercial relations it develops.

The participation of Portuguese SME companies in Performance Days is an initiative of Selectiva Moda and ATP, which aims to promote the internationalization of Portuguese companies in the Textile sector. This fair is in the “From Portugal” project, within the scope of the application submitted to the joint projects for the Internationalization of Portugal 2030.
