MÖM(E) ARRIVES IN NEW YORK

“The contact was established during Playtime Paris and very soon we will have our items for sale in Brooklyn, New York”, reveals gleefully Inês Camano Garcia, mentor of the Portuguese brand Möm(e). It was the collection Re.pen.sar, which invites one to ponder about the current lifestyle and a return to childhood, that the children’s fashion brand chose to lead the way into the North American market.

Mostly developed from knitwear and organic cotton, the Re.pen.sar collection is an intimate journey to the childhood of Inês Camano Garcia, reminiscent of the long afternoons spent at the Benfica Woods, in Lisbon. “This collection features ground colours, beats and browns, all colours that remind me of childhood. We also have a new born line with a grey and raw palette inspired in Brussels, where I lived as a child”, she details.

Already taking orders for England, this Möm(e) collection was exhibited at the last MODtissimo, at the Francisco Sá Carneiro airport. Re.pen.sar is a collection which, as is usual for the Portuguese company’s strategy, uses textile waste (or dead stock) to manufacture its garments.
