PORTUGUESE COMPANIES WITH GOOD AFFLUENCE IN PLAYTIME

The From Portugal committee described their presence at Playtime Paris, which ended on January 30th, at Parc Floral as “a full comeback”. Bootani, Möm(e), Mrs. Ertha, Peter Jo, and Suuky are satisfied with the flow of visitors to the Parisian fashion show dedicated to children.

In their absolute debut at the fair, Mrs. Ertha claims that this presence exceeded expectations. “It was remarkable for the debut. We received a lot from all over the world, United Kingdom, Canada, Hong Kong, Poland, Romania”, recalled Sílvia Plácido, founder, with an enthusiastic tone. “As we set up the stand with an appealing color palette, we got people interested in the entire collection. The location right at the entrance to the fair also helped”, he added. Cameras for the youngest have been the attraction.

Möm(e) also claims to be a splendid edition: “we have more movement at the stand and business that takes place within the fair. We received new clients, from the French, Belgians, Japanese to Americans, as we intended”, says Inês Camano Garcia, founder of Möm(e). The new pattern/monogram, which represents the path of the brand over the last five years, was the main attraction.

For Bootani, every day has been full: “Saturday morning was good, and Sunday we also had a lot of movement and demand from Belgians and Nordics, which interests us especially”, said Rita Domingues, founder of the brand. Feedback on the Spring-Summer 23 Woodland Playground collection is positive, and Bootani hopes to repeat its participation in future editions.

With more visitors in this edition, Peter Jo, represented by Anna Sheludko, commercial sales, stated that it was an edition within expectations: “it is the third time at the fair, the service has improved, we have a good location, we receive no only French but also Americans and from other countries”, he says.

The participation of Portuguese SME companies in Playtime Paris is an initiative by Selectiva Moda and ATP – Portuguese Textile and Clothing Association, which aims to promote the internationalization of Portuguese companies in the Textile sector. This fair is in the From Portugal project, within the scope of the application submitted to the joint projects for the Internationalization of Portugal 2030.
