INTERIOR LIFESTYLE TOKYO PROVES TO BE POSITIVE FOR THE PORTUGUESE

Mainly Japanese buyers, good business prospects, and the visit of the Portuguese Ambassador to Japan, Vítor Sereno, to Portuguese exhibitors marked another edition of Interior Lifestyle Tokyo that ran last Friday (16th) in Tokyo, Japan. Carvalho, Herdmar, Nosse Ceramics, and Villafelpos were the brands of the From Portugal committee.

If expectations were good, the results of the fair corresponded. Whoever perceives it that way is Tiago Lopes, from textiles-home Carvalho, which participate in Interior Lifestyle Tokyo for approximately six years. “There are fewer exhibitors, but the Japanese buyers, which is what interests us, are here”, reveals, while at the same time noting some innovations in terms of the terry cloths presented in this collection by Carvalho.

“It is important that we continue to be present because this is a market that values credibility and long-term relationships”, considers Tiago Lopes, who also welcomes the “always relevant” visit of Ambassador Vítor Sereno.

Making its debut at the event is Nosse Ceramics which, according to Stephanie Gahlispo, is very satisfied with the environment at Interior Lifestyle Tokyo. “We made contact with Japanese buyers and with a Korean”, reveals the brand employee that combines ceramics with recycled glass.

The participation of Portuguese SMEs in Interior Lifestyle Tokyo is an initiative of Seletiva Moda and ATP – Portuguese Textile and Clothing Association, which aims to promote the internationalization of Portuguese companies in the textile sector. This fair is included in the From Portugal project, within the scope of the application submitted to the Portugal 2030 joint internationalization projects.
