2021 WAS “THE BEST YEAR EVER” FOR JOF

With over two decades of experience, JOF (José Oliveira e Freitas), a company devoted to the production of labels and visibility solutions for the industry, closed 2021 with its best turnover ever: “it was the best year ever for the company, above two million euros”, reveals Rui Pedro Freitas, commercial director of JOF and the son of the company’s founder.

JOF is proud to be a Portuguese company that works with clients from all over the world, with exports representing more than 90% of its turnover. “We work a lot with Morocco, Bangladesh, Pakistan, China, Egypt, Turkey and Tunisia”, says Rui Pedro Freitas.

With its core business centred on genuine leather, JOF has, however, diversified its products in recent years, currently offering other solutions, such as sustainable synthetic leather and vegetable leather.

Initially focused on footwear, JOF drifted into textiles in 2009 – and in the very next year raised a strong client: Inditex. In 2014, the company built new and modern facilities, and as a result of this investment, completed in 2017 a project to install new production lines, with which it was able to respond more fully to the market’s requests.
