Two Collections, One Vision: Magma Têxtil Returns to Milano Unica

As preparations intensify for the next edition of Milano Unica, Portuguese textile manufacturer Magma Têxtil is set to showcase two distinct collections that reflect both its creative vision and technical expertise. Alongside its Fall/Winter 2027/2028 proposals developed around the fair’s trend directions, the company will unveil an exclusive Mid-Season selection featuring premium yarns, innovative fabric constructions and advanced finishing techniques. With a strong focus on quality, comfort and close customer collaboration, Magma sees Milano Unica as the ideal stage to strengthen relationships with high-end international partners while presenting innovations designed to meet the evolving demands of the global fashion industry.

What collection are you presenting at this edition of MU? What inspired the creative direction of this collection?

Fábio Costa, Customer Project Manager: In fact, Magma is presenting two collections at MU. One, the Fall/Winter 2027/2028 for the MU trends and another, a small Magma’s Mid-Season collection with exclusive yarns, structures and finishing. This small collection is focused for customers with high quality standards. For customers who give preference for the quality and comfort and not just how it looks.

Which products do you expect to generate the strongest interest during the fair?

As always, Magma is really strong on the multiple variety of fleeces, terrys and jerseys with special finishings. And this time, we’ll have a surprise. A new finishing with plant properties.

What makes MU a strategic trade fair for your company?

High quality partners usually visit this fair. This is exactly what Magma looks for the customer range.

How has your experience at MU evolved over the years?

We keep having the visit of the regular customers but every fair we have new houses looking for our products. Some of them are told for friends or partners about our quality and the word spreading mouth by mouth keeps one of the best ways to be recognized on the market.

MU has invested significantly in its digital ecosystem, particularly through e-MilanoUnica Connect. How valuable is this platform for increasing your visibility before, during, and after the fair?

They need to have a clear / intuitive app, otherwise still quite weak and customers doesn’t work with it.

Share one fact about your company that international customers may not know. Tell us three things visitors will discover at your stand that they won’t find on your website

Magma’s fabrics are 100% inspected at our facilities before the shipment to the final customer.

At our stand the visitor can feel the fabric, not just look at it. It be also informed about the possibilities to change some yarns or finishing to match the final goal of each brand.

And most important, it will receive a individual following and recommendations about the best products from our collection.

What is one thing your team is obsessed with improving every day?

Here at Magma the team works to provide to the customer and partners the most complete information about our products. We don’t like to just send a typical tech sheet, but all that could be useful for the care of our product after it be transformed in a garment.
