TMR Fashion Clothing announced last week that it has achieved B Corp certification, joining the group of organizations that meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.
In statements to the Guimarães Marca platform, of which it is a part, the company specializing in apparel production considers this certification a clear reinforcement of its commitment to “generate positive impact both socially and environmentally, contributing to a more inclusive, sustainable, and ethical economy.”
Based on the B Impact assessment, TMR Fashion Clothing obtained an overall score of 80.7, surpassing the current average of companies undergoing the assessment, set at 50.9 points. The score breakdown was as follows: 16.0 in Governance, 23.8 in Workers, 20.2 in Community, 16.2 in Environment, and 4.3 in Customers.
TMR states that this certification also represents additional motivation to continue evolving. The goal of obtaining B Corp certification had been set back in 2024 as part of a set of ambitious objectives, including the creation of a customizable product line with a product passport and the implementation of a pension plan for employees aged 45 or older.
Meanwhile, Tintex joined the B Corp network in May, a certification that recognizes the ongoing commitment of the Vila Nova de Cerveira-based company to adopt responsible practices and improve its social and environmental impact. In the impact assessment, Tintex achieved a total score of 111.7.
“We are proud of the score obtained and our goal is to improve it significantly with each renewal,” said Pedro Silva, managing director, in a statement.
Environmental performance was the highest scoring area — 55.5 — followed by workers (22.8), community (15.2), governance (15.0), and customers (3.0). In 2025, the company recorded the best score in the textiles category.
