TMG highlights group-wide scope at Techtextil

TMG is once again affirming its strength as a group at Techtextil in Frankfurt. Pedro Silva, R&D+i Manager at TMG Textiles, stresses that the main objective of this presence at the fair is to demonstrate “the group’s potential, the cross-cutting nature of its businesses and to reinforce its positioning”.

Integrated into the Portuguese island in Hall 11.1, the stand showcases the technical capabilities of both TMG Automotive and TMG Textiles. In the automotive segment, participation in the event is mainly seen as a privileged moment to consolidate and deepen relationships with clients. For TMG Textiles, however, this presence represents an important opportunity to access new markets.

The company is currently in a phase of strategic diversification, increasingly moving towards areas such as workwear, sportswear and defence, moving away from an exclusive association with the fashion segment. Participation in Techtextil thus serves as a clear reinforcement of this new positioning.

The fair also plays an important role as a meeting point with partners, namely Carrington Textiles, strengthening synergies and collaborations.

Among the highlights presented at the stand, Luís Filipe Silva, from TMG Automotive’s innovation department, showcases an automotive seat developed from the combination of different coated materials, designed to allow recycling at the end of its life cycle.

In response to the limitations of currently available solutions on the market—mostly non-recyclable—this innovation results from synergies between group companies and translates into the development of a synthetic leather aligned with circular economy principles.

On the third day of the fair, the TMG group continues to view its presence at Techtextil as a strategic investment, focusing on continuity and strengthening its market position.
