The Febratex Summit event, which takes place on the 23rd and 24th of August in Blumenau, Brazil, has already closed its program and includes three ‘heavyweights’ linked to the Portuguese textile world: Braz Costa, general director of CITEVE, Ricardo Silva, CEO of Tintex, and Ana Tavares, CEO of RDD Textiles.
The lectures revolve around sustainability in the textile and clothing area. On the 23rd of August, Braz Costa will address the ‘Bioeconomy of textiles: the critical path towards carbon neutrality’. On the same day, the leader of Tintex will debate with André Klein, from the company Dalila Têxtil, a new vision for the future fabrics to bring people together. Both will outline innovative and sustainable strategies for the textile industry, moderated by Giordana Madeira from the Febratex Group.
On the 24th, the person responsible for RDD Textiles joins her partner Amanda Parkes, director of Innovation at Pangaia, to talk about ‘More sustainable and innovative businesses: from knit production to the fashion market’. The mediator will be Paulo Salgado, CEO of the Portuguese company Sampless. The director-general of CITEVE will be on stage again to speak about ‘The European Union strategy in favor of the sustainability and circularity of textiles’.
The alignment, which can be consulted in full here, also includes contributions from large groups in the sector, like C&A and Lectra. Remember that places are limited and subject to prior registration.
