TINTEX PRESENTED ITS COURSE IN PRINTED ELECTRONICS

Tintex Textiles, represented by Pedro Magalhães, Head of Innovation, was present at LOPEC in Munich. The company’s journey in recent years and its efforts on the printed electronics topic or the Wear2Heal project, a collaboration with HATA, CITEVE, CeNTI, and LABIOMEP, were in evidence.

The theme of this presentation was also the work currently underway on the innovative Health Agenda from Portugal, as well as the future applications of printed electronics, where textiles intend to be a crucial part, without forgetting the challenges that need to be faced.

Sustainability was also at the core of the talk, in the sense that textile-based materials have the potential to be an alternative that has less impact on the environment when compared to traditional means.

However, the Head of Innovation at Tintex Textiles did not forget to mention the importance of partnerships and called for them, as there are ambitious goals, not only at the level of companies and entities, but for the planet and, therefore, it is relevant that there is joint work.

The 2024 edition of LOPEC (Large-area, Organic & Printed Electronics Convention) started on March 5th and ran until March 7th. Every year, key research application players from all continents gather in Munich: in 2023, 168 exhibitors from 25 countries and more than 2,400 visitors from 43 countries.
