The finalists for the next edition of the iTechStyle Awards were revealed in its three central categories – fabric, product, and accessories. A. Sampaio & Filhos, Joaps, Coltec and RDD Textiles in fabrics, Brandbias, FLM Têxtil, J Caetano and Têxteis Penedo in products, Luís Rodrigues & Teixeira, Bordados Oliveira and YKK Portugal in accessories, are the selected companies.
In a careful choice that included almost ninety proposals based on the assumptions of innovation and sustainability, the solutions are chosen to join those chosen in the September edition, thus completing the list of finalists for the next edition of the iTechStyle Awards. The ceremony will take place on May 20th, during another edition of the iTechStyle Summit.
The jury members – José Morgado (director of Engineering and Technology at CITEVE), Fernando Pereira (Department of Chemical Engineering at FEUP), Hélder Carvalho (Department of Textile Engineering at UM), Carla Silva (Department of Chemistry and Biotechnology at CITEVE), José Gonçalves (director of smart materials at CeNTI), and Pedro Guimarães (Modatex) – met during the morning of the first day of MODTISSIMO, with the announcement of the finalists being made by António Braz Costa, general director of CITEVE, at the time of the opening of the talks.
