Texpremium will change venue for its December edition, scheduled for December 2–3, relocating to Shoreditch – “one of London’s most vibrant fashion and creative hubs.” In an interview with T Jornal, John Kelly explained the reasons behind the move and the fair’s positioning in the premium segment.
The fair director notes that the move reflects the premium identity of the event and aims to provide an inspiring environment for both exhibitors and visitors. “The fair is firmly positioned in the luxury segment, serving professionals who specifically seek premium textiles and accessories,” he emphasizes.
He adds that the organization’s focus is now on “increasing visibility among British and international buyers, so that more leading professionals recognize the fair as a special sourcing destination.”
Texpremium is already attended by senior designers and top British fashion houses, including Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood, Erdem, Victoria Beckham, and Burberry. Participation in the fair is thus seen as a unique opportunity to create new connections, while also highlighting the influence of the UK market for exhibitors.
“The United Kingdom remains one of the most influential fashion markets in the world, and Texpremium provides direct access to the decision-makers shaping it – making it an unmissable event for companies seeking to strengthen their presence in this market. It is the only professional fair in the UK dedicated exclusively to luxury textiles, distinguishing itself from The London Textile Fair, which targets a broader, mid-range audience.”
Regarding future priorities, the fair director is clear: “We are not focused on diversification but on consolidation. We want to continue establishing Texpremium as the meeting point for luxury textile manufacturers looking to enhance their standing in the sector.”
The new location, he assures, will also bring significant logistical advantages. Shoreditch offers quick connections to major transport hubs, just 10 minutes from Liverpool Street Station, along with a wide range of hotels, restaurants, and creative spaces.
Portugal will again be represented at Texpremium by a group of companies gathered under the Sustainable Textile & Apparel From PORTUGAL project, promoted by ATP – the Portuguese Textile and Apparel Association.
