Sustainable Textile & Apparel From PORTUGAL reinforced national presence at Milano Unica

The “Made in Portugal” once again established itself as a reference of excellence at Milano Unica, the international fabrics and accessories fair that opened on July 8 in Milan. Until July 10, Portuguese companies presented their Fall-Winter 2026/2027 collections, strengthening the image of an innovative, sustainable, and highly competitive sector.

As part of the internationalization project Sustainable Textile & Apparel From PORTUGAL, promoted by ATP – Portuguese Textile and Apparel Association, the following companies participated: Albano Morgado, I.T.J.V Têxteis, Isla, LEMAR, LMA, Magma Têxtil, Sidónios Knitwear, and Troficolor Denim Makers.

Joining this broad presence at Milano Unica were also Casa da Malha, Fitecom, Lurdes Sampaio, Riopele, TMG Textiles, Trimalhas, Somelos Tecidos, Paulo de Oliveira, and Penteadora.

The 41st edition of Milano Unica served as a strategic showcase for Portuguese companies to demonstrate their differentiation capabilities, visible in the sophistication of textile structures, the sustainability of materials, and the quality of personalized services provided to their international clients.

For a more efficient and productive visiting experience, the organizers launched a new official app in time for this edition, designed to help buyers plan their attendance and organize meetings with exhibitors — offering an additional matchmaking opportunity for participating companies.

Among the available features, the app offered automatic suggestions of exhibitors best aligned with each buyer’s interests, based on preferences indicated during registration. The meeting scheduling functionality was available for exhibitors in the Ideabiella, Moda In, and Shirt Avenue areas who confirmed their availability to receive meeting requests.
