SOURCE FASHION HELPS COMPANIES FIGHT BREXIT

Between the 16th and 18th of July, at the London Olympia, Source Fashion will take place, the new European sourcing event focused on quality and sustainability, which “aims to bring companies back to the United Kingdom”, revealed Rita de Sousa, Source Fashion agent in Portugal, to T Jornal.

The first edition in February was successful, and “those who attended have already signed up again, and there are only a few entries left”, said Rita de Sousa. International manufacturers and suppliers are within reach of UK brands, with the assurance that “the organization wants the best, as they focus on ensuring sustainability and transparency”, reveals.

This edition “takes place on the main floor of the London Olympia”, having doubled its size and receiving more than 300 exhibitors from all over the world. The debut edition featured 130 manufacturers from 18 countries, such as the UK, Peru, Cambodia, Pakistan, Turkey, China, India, Portugal, Hong Kong, Italy, and Greece, attracting almost 5000 visitors from leading retailers and brands such as Asos, FILA, or Fred Perry.

“Source Fashion has been running for several years at the same time as Pure London. However, Source decided to make a mark and change its bet, and they are now two different events on the same dates”, explained Rita de Sousa. “Source increased its dynamics and followed the trend of involving manufacturers, producers, suppliers, and buyers in the same place. Going to the fair is, now, finding more than just brands”, highlighted Rita de Sousa.

Connecting the various elements of the sector, Source Fashion is a gateway to retail for manufacturers and suppliers. From raw materials, fabrics, finishes, and packaging to contracted manufacturers offering in-house design services, the objective is clear “to continue to grow, to focus on sourcing and to bring companies back to the United Kingdom”, concludes Rita de Sousa.
