Smartex Honored by ITMF with Innovation and Sustainability Award

Smartex has just been honored with the Innovation and Sustainability Award by the ITMF – International Textile Manufacturers Federation, recognizing significant achievements in sustainability and technological innovation in the global textile industry.

The award will be presented during the ITMF Annual Conference, taking place on October 24–25 in Indonesia, with Portugal represented by Gilberto Loureiro, co-founder of Smartex.

Under the theme “Navigating Uncertainty & Adopting Technology – Pathways to Sustainable Strength in the Textile & Apparel Industry,” the conference will bring together more than 40 global leaders from the textile and apparel sector to share experiences and perspectives on the industry’s future.

According to the organization, “The sector needs to focus on resilience. This conference will provide a platform to discuss the options and pathways forward,” reads a statement shared on ITMF’s social media channels.
