Six decades of excellence: Idepa strengthens presence in strategic sectors

Idepa celebrates 60 years of activity this year in the production of customized labels, ribbons, and textile accessories. Throughout these six decades, the family-owned company has maintained a focus on building relationships of trust, supported by quality and sustainability.

“Idepa has been expanding its presence in various strategic sectors. We develop projects for the textile fashion, technical, automotive, promotional, and elastic yarn covering segments,” highlights Liza Orioli from the communications department. “In the fashion sector, we stand out for our ability to create exclusive samples, ensuring close and specialized support. In the more technical sectors, our strength lies in project management combined with rigorous control of production processes,” she adds.

The company has continuously invested to remain at the forefront of the sector, acquiring modern and increasingly automated production equipment over the years. At the same time, it has pursued cleaner operations with a reduced environmental footprint, installing two photovoltaic power plants and a small hydroelectric plant. “Currently, about 40% of the energy we consume comes from renewable sources, and our goal is to reach 60% within two years,” reveals the spokesperson.

In terms of sustainability, Idepa has also invested in circularity and the reuse of textile waste, developing projects in partnership with universities and research and development centers. Strategic partnerships are a fundamental pillar for the company based in São João da Madeira, which exports about 60% of its production.

The 60th-anniversary celebrations will begin this summer, involving employees. For the public, Idepa has already been regularly sharing, through social media, its daily activities and expertise, showcasing all the processes that occur within the company.
