Sacor made its debut in the dynamic of textile fairs with MOD’Unica. What motivated the accessories company was the need to create links with new customers beyond the footwear industry, explains Vitor Moreira, commercial manager.
‘We’re from Felgueiras, which means we have a lot of business on our doorstep, but we wanted to open our horizons and decided to do so in the textiles sector. We thought that by exhibiting at a fair in the sector we would be able to broaden the range of potential customers, including home textiles, which use up a lot of welted seams for towels, for example,’ he told T Jornal.
The company has been working with all kinds of cords for 25 years. Vítor Moreira says that they produce cords and trimmings ‘for the most varied everyday uses. We have the capacity to produce 100 kilometres of cord per minute if all the machines are running,’ he continues. ‘We have 13 workers, but 90 per cent of our machines are automated, which gives us a lot of production capacity. Our core business is cordage, but we also make ribbons and labels,’ he adds.
