Riopele has steadily consolidated its business year after year, preparing sustainably for its centenary. In its most recent announcement, the Pousada de Saramagos-based company revealed that it achieved a consolidated turnover of €99 million in 2025.
Fabric production for the fashion industry continues to represent the largest share of sales, remaining the company’s core business. This is followed by apparel and yarn commercialisation, areas that reinforce the diversification and integration of its offering.
“2025 was a challenging year for the textile industry, and everything indicates that this year will present similar challenges. However, we approach each difficulty as an opportunity to evolve,” said José Alexandre Oliveira, Chairman of the Board of Directors. “We are prepared for different scenarios and foresee a year of business consolidation,” he added.
With a client portfolio of around 700 customers, Riopele exports to 30 countries, with Spain, Canada, Denmark, the United States and Germany standing out as the main markets. In its statement, the company highlighted the strategic role of Canada and the United States, markets with high purchasing power and particular receptiveness to premium and sustainable products.
EBITDA remained in line with the previous year, a result the company interprets as a reflection of its continued focus on operational efficiency and the alignment of its commercial offering with the demands of an increasingly competitive market.
