Quality Lab made its absolute debut at the 2026 edition of Techtextil. Integrated into Hall 9.0, within the Portuguese island, the laboratory spent the last four days establishing multiple contacts aimed at the internationalisation of its services. Liliana Maia, Technical and Certification Manager, explains to T Jornal that the company offers two service areas—one dedicated to fashion and another more technical—being in the latter that it aims to reinforce growth through its presence in Germany.
Among the services presented are composition testing, flammability tests, thermal resistance, water vapour resistance, water penetration resistance, colour fastness, chemical tests and physical tests. The company also operates in certification, namely product safety marking under Regulation PPE 2026/425.
At the stand, Quality Lab sought to project an image of technical expertise, supported by information panels featuring different ISO standards related to protective clothing, including requirements for welders, high visibility garments, heat and flame protection, rain, cold and electrostatic properties.
With nearly 15 years of experience, the laboratory continues to expand, currently performing around 70 different types of accredited tests while continuously investing in new equipment and areas of activity.
