Première Vision Paris opened its doors this morning in a composed atmosphere, with commercial teams busy. Portugal is represented by a group of companies exhibiting at the fair within the framework of the Sustainable Textile & Apparel From Portugal project, promoted by ATP – the Portuguese Textile and Apparel Association.
In the Fabrics area, the participating companies are 6 Dias Têxteis, A. Sampaio & Filhos, Albano Morgado, Brito Knitting, Lemar, Magma Têxtil, NGS Malhas, Sidónios Knitwear, and Troficolor Denim Makers. In the Smart Creation area, making its absolute debut, is Circlo EcoDesign & Circularity, while in the Leather area, the novelty is the presence of Cosmiknit, also participating for the first time in Paris.
Among the national exhibitors, several companies share their novelties for this edition.
Brito Knitting presents the new AGILE collection, working “with a wide range of organic fibers, such as merino wool, renewable fibers like hemp, and recycled fibers—both pre- and post-consumer—to create circular knitted fabrics that balance comfort, durability, and environmental responsibility.”
With structures prepared for winter, such as “American fleece, double-face interlocks, and terry fabrics,” the company offers versatile solutions that meet the needs of contemporary brands. “The new AGILE collection reflects our vision of agility in design and sustainability. It introduces new developments in circular knits, with greater focus on texture, layering, and movement,” the company emphasizes.
NGS Malhas highlights the launch of its exclusive Softwool technique, an innovative finish that “enhances the natural qualities of wool, giving it an exceptionally soft and fresh touch.” This innovation allows wool to “perform beyond expectations, making it suitable both for luxury applications and performance-oriented proposals.” The company also reinforces the use of premium raw materials such as silk, cashmere, and Supima cotton.
Circlo EcoDesign & Circularity, making its Paris debut, is presenting its recycled knits. The company summarized the morning to T Jornal: “The goal of this debut is to introduce the public to who we are, what we do, and the vision that drives us. We want to share—and encourage—the use of sustainable raw material alternatives, always with traceability and full transparency. With this fair, we aim to make our concept and the work we have been developing over the past four years known to as many people as possible.”
Albano Morgado, in turn, announces that it now offers fabrics certified with the RWS – Responsible Wool Standard, reinforcing “its commitment to sustainability and ethical production.” The company also claims to stand out “for the production of high-quality wool fabrics” and recalls that, as a vertical company, it controls “the entire production process, ensuring strict quality control and great flexibility.”
A.Sampaio & Filhos brings to Paris its new Autumn/Winter collection, born from the concept “local as root and global as horizon” and organized into Capsules—groups of fabrics with a shared purpose and meaning.
“More than a collection, it represents a philosophy of designing and producing fabrics with soul, intention, and purpose, built through authentic collaboration between design, know-how, ethics, and sustainability,” explains the company.
“Each structure, raw material, and color reflects decades of accumulated textile knowledge, where innovation and tradition coexist meaningfully. The result is fabrics designed to last, speaking with beauty, authenticity, and truth, while seeking to positively impact the environment and the future.”
