The Prochef group, a specialist in uniforms for the hospitality sector, has a new business area: uniforms for healthcare professionals. Called ProHealth line, it consists of gowns, tunics, pants, operating room equipment and shoes, which can be fully customized by the customer. The pieces stand out for being made with high quality raw materials and light fabrics.
When “the crisis hit the hotel and restaurant sectors”, the owner of the Prochef group, Orquídea Silva, decided to reverse the “break in orders and production” by expanding its offer to healthcare professionals, with the same standards that distinguish the company’s production.
This strategy, which began with the production of personal protective masks, allowed the businesswoman to “keep almost all the employees”. The new line is intended not only for those working in hospitals, health centres and dental clinics, but also for aesthetic centres, veterinary clinics, opticians, pharmacy technicians, nursing homes workers and physiotherapists.
Employing 22 workers – a team complemented by a partnership with two more clothing units –, Prochef has been in the market for 13 years, providing specialized service in terms of uniforms and accessories for catering, hotels and kitchens.
