POSITIVE MATERIALS JOINS THE MICROFIBRE CONSORTIUM

Focused on reducing the impact of microfibre pollution from textiles, Positive Materials has joined The Microfibre Consortium and, by definition, The Microfibre 2030 Commitment. ‘By becoming a signatory to The Microfibre Consortium we are contributing to the collective efforts made to understand fibre fragmentation and its effects on the planet,’ says Elsa Parente, co-CEO.

Positive Materials has been working on developing low-impact textiles since it was founded, and this is another step by the company towards ‘mitigating pollution and regenerating the future’, it shares on social media. The work is being done with 2030 as the horizon to achieve the goal of zero impact.

‘Being part of the TMC ecosystem is also crucial as a networking platform to share resources, figures, the latest research and solutions and to drive innovation through technologies that can reduce microfibre pollution,’ she concludes.

The list of adherents is made up of more than 90 companies and brands from the sector, including: Adidas, C&A, H&M, Mango, Primark, Prada and Puma.
