Portuguese companies on the last day of Première Vision Paris

Another edition of Première Vision Paris comes to an end today. On this third day, T Jornal spoke with a few more Portuguese companies. Cosmiknit highlighted its first experience as a positive one: “we wanted to promote our name and our product, and I believe we succeeded,” said Pedro Félix this morning.

The manager expressed satisfaction at having presented the company’s work to a significant number of brands and considers the fair a good complement to the business. “We had excellent support from the ATP team, which was invaluable in providing guidance and sharing know-how,” he stressed, thanking them for their assistance at this debut.

Cosmiknit exhibited in the Leathers area, but for a future edition aims to secure a space more suited to its product, which focuses on knit components for the footwear sector. The company’s goal is to continue its international expansion and steadily increase direct exports.

Pedro Félix also showed openness to collaborating with other textile companies, underlining that creating synergies is essential and benefits all those involved. In addition, the company had samples showcased in the Forum, a space considered useful to attract new attention. Sidónios, also part of the group of companies under the Sustainable Textile & Apparel From PORTUGAL project, attended the fair with good results over the first two days. According to Alexandre Silva, the team managed to fulfil scheduled meetings and establish new contacts, mostly European, but also with some American clients.

The collection was well received, with wools being particularly in demand. This year, Sidónios presented a refreshed image and revealed a partnership with Italian designers, which resulted in a clean and sophisticated collection. On Thursday, due to the strike, part of the team decided to return earlier.

Brito Knitting highlighted the strong turnout at the event, both from clients with scheduled meetings and from leads with excellent conversion potential. The first day was very positive in terms of demand, boosted by the collection’s new features, as well as the ten highlights the company received across the fair’s main forums: Rocus Citywear Forum, Eco Forum, Espace Prospective, and Sport Lingerie Forum — showcasing the quality and innovation of its circular knits.

On the second day, visitor flow remained steady, with brands and partners showing strong interest in Interlock Jacquards, Plushes, and American Terry, produced with organic fibers — including Merino wool — and recycled fibers. On the last day, attendance dropped due to the general strike, but the overall outcome was very positive. Texser, for its part, reported consistent work throughout the fair. “We noticed less footfall overall, but the work was fruitful,” said Paulo Loureiro. Highlights at the stand included a cotton-Tencel flannel and several fabrics for outerwear, such as trousers and jackets. Most visitors to the stand came from the UK, France, the Netherlands, and Scandinavian countries.
