Portugal takes part in the new Maison & Objet Pulse

Portugal’s presence at Maison & Objet Pulse, taking place in Paris from 10 to 14 September, brings together four companies across the décor, design and accessories segments. Amalia Home Collection, Têxteis Iris and Mariaida Home are exhibiting in the Decor & Design – Home Linen area, while Cottonpassion is making its debut at the event in the Fashion & Accessories segment.

In the bed linen segment, Amalia Home Collection is presenting a selection that includes the Suave Essential line, made from premium long-staple Egyptian cotton sateen with a 430-thread count, and Brisa, a 300-thread-count cotton jacquard inspired by Portuguese landscapes, from beaches to old olive groves and lush green meadows.

For table textiles, Têxteis Iris is showcasing a checked tablecloth and the Cleopatra set, comprising a pure linen tablecloth and napkin, alongside table runners. The collection includes combinations of grey, yellow and white, as well as pink. Mariaida Home, meanwhile, is presenting a range centred on placemats with floral embroidery and customisation options. Highlights include the Melides line, entirely made from linen, with matching embroidery and napkin, reflecting the brand’s focus on detail as a distinctive element.

The new Portuguese presence at this edition comes from Cottonpassion, which is presenting Maraletto, a wearable art concept combining fashion and artistic expression. Produced in Portugal in collaboration with contemporary artists, the concept takes shape through a selection of hoodies, T-shirts and scarves designed for different styles and targeting channels such as concept stores, museum shops and cultural retail spaces.

The Portuguese participation comes as Maison & Objet marks a change in its identity, distinguishing between its two annual editions. The September edition is now known as Maison & Objet Pulse, with a vision of design in motion and an approach centred on boldness and sustainability. The January edition will be called Maison & Objet Premier, placing the emphasis on craftsmanship and savoir-faire.

For this edition, the organisers place movement and action at the heart of the Pulse concept, encouraging the creation of stories that bring people together and projects that foster connection. Against this backdrop, the four Portuguese companies are presenting proposals in Paris that combine home textiles, design and fashion, targeting different segments of the international market.
