Portugal showcases its technical diversity at Techtextil 2026

The Sustainable Textile & Apparel From PORTUGAL project will be present at Techtextil from April 21 to 24, featuring two distinct exhibition areas: Hall 9, dedicated to Performance Apparel Textiles, and Hall 11, focused on Coated Textiles, Composites, Bondtec and Textile Materials.

As part of ATP’s internationalisation project, participating companies include A. Sampaio & Filhos, Artefita, ATB – Acabamentos Têxteis de Barcelos, Bloomati by Carvema, Coltec, Lineartex/Dehora, Fiação da Graça, MCS, Quality Lab, Tiajo, Trim NW and Trivialtex. These are joined in the same exhibition areas by A Penteadora, Cordex, Fibrenamics and TMG Textiles.

Portugal’s presence at Techtextil 2026 once again reflects the diversity and innovation of its textile sector, covering a wide range of products and solutions. Key product groups include woven fabrics, nonwovens, braids and knits, tapes, cords and ropes, belts and cables, performance, professional and protective apparel textiles, sports and activewear fabrics, coated and laminated textiles, Bondtec, materials for lamination and coating, fibres and yarns (including synthetic and recycled), as well as textile production technologies and laboratory and measurement equipment.

This offering addresses multiple application areas, ranging from tents, packaging materials and medical textiles to active, sports and outdoor apparel, as well as solutions for personal protection, waterproof and cold-weather clothing, textiles and composites for interiors and furniture, wind and weather protection, automotive applications, and solutions for medtech, mobility, security services and military forces. In this way, the Portuguese presence demonstrates its ability to meet the needs of a wide variety of textile segments — from technical to functional, and from industrial to sports applications.

At the same time, Texprocess — a trade fair more focused on technology and machinery for the sector — will also take place. In this area, ATP’s initiative will be represented by the company Invescorte, located in Hall 8.0, in a strategic position close to the Techtextil exhibition area. This proximity aims to foster synergies and facilitate visitor flow between the two events.
