INESC TEC and Petratex Confeções are part of the consortium of the European project iProcure Security PCP, which aims to develop technology to triage victims in a catastrophe situation in real-time. It is a wearable system that allows you to monitor vital signs and calculate the severity status.
“Taking into account the ultimate objective of the band, we use light, comfortable, and manageable materials so it can be quickly placed on victims”, says Helena Meireles from the marketing department. “We use our glued technology so that the band has as few seams as possible to offer greater comfort and resistance”, adds speaking to T Jornal.
The target audience is medical emergency professionals. The electronic device will be able to triage in real-time and control victims precisely until they arrive at the hospital. The project also has the participation of Xenia Reply and the Institute of Entrepreneurship Development.
