PERYOD: THE PORTUGUESE BRAND FOCUSED ON FEMINISM

Peryod is a new fashion brand that puts women into the centre of the feminist cause. The name, which refers to the menstrual period, is the beginning of a statement that is extended to all the pieces, which combine comfort, simplicity and sustainability with messages of female empowerment like “Let me feminist you”, “Woman influence” and “Proudly Feminist”.

Launched on March 8, the International Women’s Day, the brand embraces the feminist cause, with symbolic phrases stamped on the pieces, a simple look for women of all ages.

“Our goal is to create a community where women feel empowered. It’s giving voice to all these women, and taking an active in the fight for a fairer world”, explains Mónica De La Serna, brand manager.

In the first collection, entitled Statement and produced in Portugal using organic cotton with certification BCI (Better Cotton Initiative), GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) or OCS (Organic Content Standard), the brand presents five models, an homage to iconic women such as Amelia Earhart, Sojourner Truth, Olympe de Gouges, Betty Robinson and Maria Montessori.
