Companies 2Move Garments, A. Sampaio & Filhos, Comfysocks, Dune Bleue, LMA, NGS Malhas, Sancar Socks, Sidónios Malhas and WAT are already in Munich for the opening of Performance Days, taking place on March 18 and 19. As part of the Sustainable Textile & Apparel From PORTUGAL project led by ATP – the Portuguese Textile and Apparel Association, these companies are showcasing collections aligned with this edition’s theme, focused on textile-to-textile recycling.
Many samples incorporate recycled content, such as polyester or polyamide, while Portuguese portfolios are also expanding their offering of biobased and biodegradable materials, alongside natural fibres that ensure durability and performance. Wool — particularly merino wool — stands out, as highlighted in the selection available on the event’s website. Sustainability goes beyond materials, extending to dyeing processes and production methods.
This group is further joined by companies such as IMF Zip, Jway Seamless, Nextil Group, TMG Textiles and Trimalhas, reinforcing Portugal’s national presence.
Performance Days is recognised as the leading international meeting point for functional textiles, offering companies the opportunity to present their Spring/Summer 2028 collections to key contacts in the sports and performance sectors.
According to the event’s official statement, the fair also stands out as a hub for knowledge exchange, featuring areas such as the Sustainability Lounge, Innovation Area, Expert Talks Stage and Circularity Zone. Over the two days, visitors are also invited to explore curated spaces including the Bodywear Area, Wool Area, Innovation Hub, Tech Hub and Creative Area.
Marco Weichert, CEO of Performance Days, reinforces the message of industry unity, stating that the coming years must be marked by the courage to innovate. “Let us overcome trade barriers and refocus on progress instead of paralysis. Because, in the end, what continues to drive us after these years is the same: a passion for this industry,” he said.
