The French brand Mon Coeur has chosen Portugal as a partner for the development of its collections. In a recent video shared on social media, the brand shows in detail what it means to produce in Portugal. The video opens with images of the city of Porto and then follows the different stages of the production process – pattern making, cutting, dyeing, printing, sewing, among others – highlighting attention to detail and the human side of production, with multiple hands involved until the final product is achieved.
The childrenswear brand has also been promoting national production on its website, where repeated references are made to “Made with love in Portugal”, a choice that reflects pride in its partners.
“Our products are responsibly made in Portugal, using fabrics and accessories of European origin, contributing to emission reduction and ensuring exceptional quality and know-how,” the brand states.
It further adds that “being part of a sustainable movement is not only about materials, but also about how garments are produced and who produces them.”
The video was later shared by ATP – the Portuguese Textile and Apparel Association, which sees this communication as a reflection of the “international recognition of Portuguese production capacity, based on values such as quality, sustainability and innovation.”
