LUÍS AZEVEDO PRESENTS SUSTAINABLE FIBRES MANUAL

Last week Luís Azevedo & Filhos shared a new sustainable fibres manual, which includes their certifications and fabric references with the most sustainable raw materials available on the market.

“We are proud to present our sustainable fibres manual, an essential tool for professionals in the textile industry who want to make more informed choices,” they wrote on social media.

Mushrooms, pineapple, hemp, recycled ocean plastic and banana fibre are some of the examples in the handbook. Circulose-Renewcell, Good Earth Cotton, Naia, Coolmax polyester, bamboo viscose, milk protein fibre, Lenzing Modal and Tencel are also included.

“85% of our materials are fibres of vegetable or animal origin or made from artificial fibres that come from trees,” he says. More than 50% of our products are certified by independent bodies, including GRS, OCS, GOTS, European Flax, BCI and Oeko-Tex.mboo, milk protein fibre, Lenzing Modal and Tencel.
