The unique capacity for innovation of the national C&T is one of the levers of the Lenzing Fiber Experience, the first in-person event that the World’s largest cellulose fiber group holds in Portugal. The event, which took place on October 17th at Clube do Paraíso in Guimarães, attracted a strong presence from Portuguese businesspeople.
Divided into four large groups (application & innovation; product portfolio & circularity; marketing & communication; and R&D innovation), the international Lenzing Fiber Experience event invited the main players in the Portuguese textile industry to dive into the Lenzing universe.
The international company with origins in Austria is the largest manufacturer of cellulose fibers and says it has not found “any country in the world with an C&T as innovative as Portugal”. The words are from Johannes Stefan, commercial director of Lenzing AG, who is very excited about the success of this first event in Guimarães, Portugal.
“We need to contact Portuguese businesspeople in person and monitor the entire value chain and, therefore, we are very pleased with the participation in the event”, continues the commercial director of Lenzing AG, remembering that it is not limited to being “a fiber seller.”
“Lenzing is very interested in learning about the applicability of our product, and there is no doubt that Portugal uses our fiber in completely different, very innovative ways. It is a high-quality market we want to help leverage with major international brands”, assumed Johannes Stefan.
Among the many examples, Lenzing Fiber Experience mentions in the communication & marketing area some projects developed with Portuguese companies such as Sidónios (Tencel Luxe) or Impetus.
