LEMAR crosses the Atlantic in search of new partnerships in Canada

As part of its strategy to strengthen and diversify markets beyond the European Union, LEMAR will attend Première Vision Montréal next week. Speaking to T Jornal, Rita Fonseca from the sales department explained that “Canada represents a market with high purchasing power and a growing demand for technical and fashion textiles with a European quality label,” making it particularly attractive.

Participation in the trade fair is seen as a valuable opportunity to establish direct contacts with Canadian brands interested in differentiated fabrics. Market feedback points to a “demand for European suppliers capable of offering flexibility, namely through stock service solutions,” which plays to the advantage of the Portuguese companies present at this second edition of the event.

For its debut, LEMAR has selected a collection that reflects its DNA, rooted in innovation and sustainability. “We will present materials developed with merino wool from the renowned Südwolle Group. This natural and biodegradable fiber stands out for its unique properties, such as thermoregulation, natural odor management and unmatched softness,” highlights the company representative.

The use of this yarn allows the company to offer solutions that ensure thermal comfort – particularly relevant for the Canadian climate- while also providing greater abrasion resistance and reduced pilling.

“Our expectation is that this event will serve as a launch platform for new collaborative projects, leveraging our company’s ability to customize designs and colors according to each client’s specific needs,” she concludes.

LEMAR’s participation takes place within the framework of the internationalization project Sustainable Textile & Apparel From PORTUGAL, promoted by ATP – Portuguese Textile and Clothing Association.
