The Texpremium trade fair, held in London, ended yesterday with the participation of Anbievolution, Bloomati, LEMAR, Circlo and Troficolor Denim Makers, under ATP’s Sustainable Textile & Apparel From PORTUGAL project. T Jornal gathered feedback from LEMAR and Troficolor Denim Makers, both of which focused their comments on the new venue in Shoreditch.
“The fair took place for the first time at the Truman Brewery. Visitor attendance met expectations; we reconnected with long-standing clients and made new contacts with potential,” summarized Flávio Dias, Export Manager at LEMAR.
The company reinforced its positioning based on environmental performance: “Each season we present value-added fabrics that offer advantages across all dimensions of environmental awareness, responding to the growing demand for eco-friendly products,” he added.
Troficolor Denim Makers also gave a positive assessment of the fair, noting that invitations sent to clients resulted in several meetings over the two days.
For Ana Magalhães, Export Sales Manager, “the second day was busier than the first,” which is usually the opposite. She also highlighted that this is a fair aimed at mid-to-high-end clients, making participation particularly interesting.
Regarding the location, Ana Magalhães commented that “it is not consensual.” Despite being central and easily accessible, she believes it is important to clearly differentiate the spaces of Texpremium and The London Textile Fair in order to create a distinct identity.
As for the layout, she appreciated the organization but recalled that the previous venue offered natural light. “Shoreditch allowed for a different dynamic compared to previous editions, where the fair consisted only of corridors with exhibitors. We had clients who found this space pleasant, and others who prefer the previous venue,” she concluded.
At this edition, Troficolor Denim Makers focused on offering more color options, both in yarn-dyed fabrics and piece-dyed fabrics, as well as blends of cotton and linen and linen and Tencel.
“The SS27 collection is a carefully curated selection designed to anticipate the future of denim: surprising textures, inspiring colors and developments that reflect our commitment to responsibility and differentiation,” she concluded.
